The VITech Block Ice Factory come in three models 1, 2 and 3tns
daily production and storage. The Factory is a total operation designed around
Freezer Storage Room and Production Area on a totally enclosed skid mounted
weatherproof package ready to fit into a shipping container.
Factory produces of 15 kg blocks daily based on the model you select on a 12 hr
turnover from one or two tanks containing Stainless Steel moulds. The 15kg block
dimensions are approximately 500mm X 300mm X l00mm.
The VITech Block Ice Factory is constructed of white colourbond coolroom panel
with a 1OOmm polystyrene core fitted to a galvanized steel skid frame to
strengthen and provide easy lifting facility for site location.
The freezer fish & ice storage room is easily accessed through a large sliding
door. The room temperature is maintained at -15°C
and holds approximately 250 pre moulded 15 kg blocks. The refrigeration cooler
is fitted with electric heater and is automatically defrosted. The room is
fitted with a light and wooden duck boards for the floor to provide air
circulation under the stored blocks. The refrigeration unit is located in the
rear plantroom.
The production area is accessible through doors each end. The ice making tanks
are mounted each side of the room and internally lined with fiberglass.
Galvanized steel framing, galvanized steel piping for refrigeration and
galvanized steel ice moulds are fitted to the tanks, which also have insulated
aluminium skinned dust covers over tanks.
The plantroom has hermetic air cooled condensing units running one or two
separate refrigeration systems on the ice tanks. The brine is circulated by two
3/4hp Stainless Steel pumps on each tank. The tank brine temp is kept constant
at -10°C by thermostats located in the ice tanks.
The plantroom area is accessible through louvres doors to provide security and
air intake for the refrigeration condensing units. External electric power,
water and drains are provided adjacent to the plantroom area. An optional
generator can be fitted in the plantroom to provide power for remote site
operation.
A water tap and flexible hose is provided inside the production room to enable
the refilling of the ice moulds after harvesting and provide a wash down
facility to keep the production area clean. The floor in the production and
storage areas are fitted with removable duck boards for air circulation.
The switch board located between the condensing units in the plant room has
mounted on the front fascia, main switch for mains or generator operation. Each
factory is fitted with a phase failure and under voltage relay for machine
safety.
